Is Climate Change Real?
Let's get down to the truth.
Every year, the seasons pass through- Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. The weather warms, then it becomes cold, and then it becomes warm again. This all makes sense. Why would it not? It has been doing that for centuries, and nothing will change. But if you look closely, things are changing. There's a mega drought in the West. Of course, there's a drought in the West, it is the West, but the thing is, this is the worst drought we have ever faced since 800 AD. It has been going on for 22 years, with no signs of letting up (Nature Climate Change Journal).
And to add to that, Florida, home to the happiest place on Earth, is finding itself closer and closer to being underwater. Miami's south beach will be underwater within the next three decades. The latest we have is 2050. Gone is the tourism, the houses and livelihoods, the small businesses, and hardworking Americans. Climate change is real. If we don't man up and do something about it, our children and grandchildren are going to pay the price. In 1960 there were 39 natural disaster incidents. in 2019? 396 (Institute for economics and peace). Imagine what it is going to be like in 50 years, or even just 10. You are going to be living that life. It might be perfectly sunny one day, but the next day, a hurricane sweeps through your community. If not a hurricane, then a blizzard, or a tornado, or a flood. We will all be touched by this. Can't imagine that happening to your community? Even if it isn't your community, it is someone else's. It might be the community of your friends, your family- the people you hold closest to your heart. It will definitely be the community of innocent American citizens. This is the trajectory we are on.
But what is actually happening? That's what Democrats say will happen, but how can we be sure? With no one to explain it, we might as well dismiss it as a conspiracy theory by the left. Let's break it down to make sure we are getting the truth.
The Science
Carbon emissions are released into the air. Carbon emissions include carbon dioxide along with other greenhouse gasses, like methane and nitrite. Of course, carbon dioxide is released when we breathe out, so it makes sense to wonder why this is a problem. But the carbon emissions that are causing a problem are not the ones from breathing out, as this is a very small amount of carbon emissions, they are the ones from burning fuel, through chemical reactions, and leaks of industrial processes or equipment, as they make up most of the carbon emissions. The amount of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere has increased by 47% since the industrial age (climate NASA). The carbon emissions become trapped in our atmosphere. The right amount of greenhouse gasses keeps the Earth the right amount warm. The high increase of greenhouse gasses makes the Earth too warm, meaning the temperatures are rising, causing the ice caps to melt. When the ice caps melt, the oceans rise, causing devastating flooding in coastal cities and towns throughout America. That flooding may destroy people's homes and lives if it doesn't kill them. But it doesn't stop there. Other natural disasters, including hurricanes, severe droughts, and blizzards are more extreme and frequent. Why are these freak weather storms happening? As more water vapor evaporates into the air, it causes powerful storms to develop. These storms touch all of America. No matter where you live, climate change hurts everyone.

This is the basis of how climate change works. It is real. We can't ignore it any longer. We must do something about it while keeping American values close to our hearts- or else American lives will pay dearly. The current climate change policies are written by Democrats, and like anything written by Democrats, they find the answer is to throw money and take away American jobs, overall screwing our economy. I'm here to tell you they are wrong. We should not shut down the natural gas sector, because the reality is we need natural gas, and in the end, when everything is shut down, we will ask China or Russia for what America could provide. Instead, we must keep our energy independence while expanding our energy portfolio. To learn more, read the articles in our blog section. To make a difference, donate to our cause. It's a way to invest in the future of America. And if you can't do those things, if you're still not convinced, I understand. Change is never easy, never mind of this magnitude. Reach out to a friend, and start an open-minded discussion. We will get through this together, and end up on the other side with a brighter future for coming generations.
The Evidence
Evidence it is real:
The US had 27 natural disasters in 2021 including hurricanes, forest fires, flooding, tornadoes, droughts, etc. In 1960, the U.S. suffered from 7 natural disasters. In 1950, the U.S. suffered from 10 natural disasters. The average of natural disasters in the 1950s and ’60s compared to the 27 in 2021 is a 317.647% increase. This information proves the idea that natural disasters have been increasing. When natural disasters happen, American lives are lost.
The average rise in sea levels each year is 0.14 inches (3.6 mm) since 2006. This is almost doubled the rate from the 20th century (0.06 inches per year). In the past 25 years, the oceans have risen 3 inches. As a result of this, flooding in coastal cities and other areas near bodies of water has increased. Additionally, the excess water in the air leads to more dangerous natural disasters. (Royal Society) In addition, more heat in the atmosphere and warmer ocean surface temperature leads to increased wind speeds in tropical storms (Nunez).
Since 1880, the Earth’s average temperature was increasing at 0.14 degrees Fahrenheit per decade. Since 1991 it has been increasing at 0.32 degrees Fahrenheit per decade. (Dahlman)
Evidence it is impacting America:
In the year 2021, the United States had paid over $306 billion for natural disasters. From the years 1990-1996, the United States paid a total of $40 billion for natural disasters (Webmaster). To put that in perspective, the cost of damages over a six-year span was increased by 76.5% in just one year two decades later. Who has to pay for this? American taxpayers, if they aren’t already paying with their lives, loved ones, and/or homes.
Agriculture is very vulnerable to climate change as higher temperatures reduce the yields of desirable crops. Additionally, changes in precipitation patterns increase the likelihood of long-run production declines and short-run crop failures. (Nelson)
Climate change can affect small businesses as it can disrupt supply chains, can raise insurance costs, and can increase labor challenges. Additionally, all-natural disasters have a strong impact on the economic sector. This can lead to some small businesses collapsing and failing. (Deloitte)
So Then, Why Do The Seasons Change?
Throughout the 365 day year, the seasons change in a pattern. Seasons change and vary from winter, spring, summer, and fall. As the Earth orbits the sun, one half of the Earth faces the sun while the other half faces away. The half that faces the sun experiences summer, while the half that faces away experiences winter. As the Earth orbits the sun, and the Earth moves, which hemisphere faces the sun changes. That is how we experience the seasons summer fall winter spring. (US Department of Commerce). While this process of changing seasons remains constant, the temperature of the Earth is heating up, as a result of global warming. See above explanation and evidence.
We hope by now you understand that climate change is real. If not, that is okay too. We just hope you give us a chance. Because if Democrats keep controlling this discussion, which is what they want, we are in for a terrible time.
We cannot give them what they want.
